A member of the original Templemore Band (can you spot him in the picutres? ....sorry no prizes), Roy has played a variety of instruments over the years, these being Tenor Horn, Trombone, Euphonium and now Baritone.

He has always been a member of Templemore but often is a guest player for many other bands, and has also been seen conducting (or fly-swatting) on occaisions; Comber Silver and Ballynahinch Silver being among them.

Roy is normally a quiet man, but his eyes light up ( and the Vallium bottle comes out) when he describes his most memoriable moment in banding over the years as being when Templemore competed for the first time at the British Open Championships at Belle Vue, Manchester.
