Brian's musical career started in 19** at the tender age
of ** playing Pianoforte under the tutelage of Bertram Jones, who also
taught his mother, uncle and cousin.
Being too much effort to move two hands at once, he changed
to a brass instrument and studied Cornet with Jack Burch at R.B.A.I .
A year later after much confusion in moving 3 fingers,
he swapped the Cornet for Tenor Trombone, which he had always wanted to
play, and continued on this instrument at the Belfast School of Music
where under tutor Jack Burch (Still? ), he progressed to Grade 6. He was
asked to join 1st Old Boys but didn't as it all seemed a bit overpowering
at the time. |

Song Contest, Sclub7, Carnival Tour, Tiesto, and the Queens Birthday Celebrations

Conn
trombones hold a special place in his admirations, and he has a collection of
6 Vintage Elkharts (all working), dating from 1921 to 1968. He has just bought
a new Rath R3 custom build instrument which he describes as an awesome animal
and a paint stripper. |
